2017 Fundraiser FAQ

These questions are for our 2017 fundraising campaign, which runs from September 19 to October 5. Check it out!

When will I get my pin/t-shirt/handprint?

We’re hoping to have everything in the mail by the end of November.

I already donate to The Lift by mail or through a different website. Can I still get a thank you gift?

Absolutely! If you donate by mail or in person, please shoot an email to hello@theliftcdc.org with your information and we’ll get you taken care of. If you donate through another website, please consider canceling your current giving schedule and donating through this campaign. But if you’d prefer to stick with what’s working, that’s a-okay! Send an email with your details to the above address. In whatever form, we’re grateful for your support!

I want to donate more than the required amount to receive a gift. Can I do that?

Yes, and we really appreciate it! Thank you for your generosity, it makes a huge difference in our ability to be there for our youth. Please click the "Contribute" button at the top right of the campaign page and then click "Contribute with no gift option." Once you've given the amount you'd like to give, send us an email at hello@theliftcdc.org with your information and we'll make sure you get your gift.

What about Give to the Max Day?

We’ve loved taking part in GTMD for the past few years, but decided to be brave and try something new. This campaign gives us a little more control, and we hope it's something you'll be excited to be a part of, and that develops a sense of community among our supporters. We won't be participating in GTMD this year, so if you were considering donating to The Lift this November, please donate to our current campaign instead!

I want all three gifts, please?

And we want you to have them! Each gift level comes with all the gifts in the preceding levels. So contributing to get the t-shirt will also get you the pin. And contributing to get the handprint painting will also get you the t-shirt AND the pin. Simple!

How do I let you know what size and cut of t-shirt I want?

Once the campaign is over, we’ll send you an email with a survey so you can select the t-shirt you’d like to order. We’ll have regular and women’s cuts, and shirts will be printed on Next Level tees by a local St. Paul print shop. Keep an eye on your inbox!

What if I move before you ship the gifts?

Shortly before we ship, we’ll send you a final survey to get your shirt size and current address.

That shirt design is really nice.

That's not a question, but we agree! It was designed by Erik Swenson, based off an image of the corner of Payne and York Avenues. See if you can spot the references next time you're there!

Are donations tax deductible?

Yep. The Lift is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
